All I have to say is...Can I go back! We loved, loved, loved this vacation.
We flew into Perth late Wednesday night. Thursday we got up, had breakfast and headed south out of town. We stopped in Busselton for lunch before heading to Margart River, the wine country of WA.

We stayed at Burnside Bugalows Farm Stay in Margaret River for two nights and it just wasn't long enough.
Burnside was a self-sustained farm. They harvest olives, avacodoes, and grapes for wine.
They also have a fruit and veggie garden for the family. They also raise chickens, have cows, pigs and sheep. There were piglets a couple weeks old, chicks that were a couple days old and a baby lamb!

We got up to a brisk morning and went for a walk. We saw kangaroos!
Laura and Jamie were great hosts at the farm.
Margaret River was having its annual agricultural show so we stopped in before dinner. Of course Connor needed to sit on a couple tractors. :)
Then to Cullens Winery for lunch. I love this picture.
Like father, like son.
On the last day in Margaret River we stopped at The Berry Farm for a coffee and wine. They had amazing port and brought home 2 bottles, shiraz and plum.
We then headed south to Denmark. We met Christina, Dirk and Dylan. It was rainy, they actually thought we would have a hail storm the first night but thank goodness it was only heavy rain. So the next day we headed to Albany. We ate at Dylan's Diner which was very fitting.
I love this picture!
The natural rock bridge. It doesn't look that big here but it was huge.

And the Gap. This actually made me really nervous. I think I am a bit scared of heights because all I could think about was Connor falling. huff...what a mom.
We then headed to Whale World. This was a museum on whaling in Australia. It was really interesting. The skeleton behind John and Connor is a pigmy Blue Whale at 22meters long.
The rest of these coastal pics are from Greens Pool and Light Ends beach however it was overcast so the waters are not near as pretty as they could be. We actually saw a guy swimming in the ocean. You see what I am wearing...the temp was high 70F.

On the last day in Denmark we went to the Tree Top Walk and the Land of the Giants. It was similar to the Red Woods in SF. The tree top walk was actually a bridge that climps up to the top of the trees, about 150 feet in the air and then back down again. Connor stayed in the car for this one and John and I took turns going.

What a fat kid! :)
On our way back to Perth we stopped in Bunbury to have lunch and give Connor a break from the car. We went to the lookout point and saw this. Amazing!
While in Perth we went the the AQWA (aquarium). They had a huge aquarium with sharks, large sting rays, fish and huge sea turtles. We were pointing to the shark and of course saying "look Connor, Shark" and Connor said "Shh." Darn...still not his first word.
Last Day of our vacation... We went to Penguin Island and Sea Lion Island. The Penguin Island is home to 900 penguins. There is a rehabilitation center for hurt and abandoned penguins. So we got to see a couple up close and personal. We only saw 2 sea lions.

The End!
